Adventures In The Snow
POSTED IN Blog, Latest So 80s News February 29, 2012
Through the years we’ve had the privilege of jetting all over the world to play in some rather remote places, including a Bedouin camp in Jordan, a remote castle in Spain and a rural desert house in Marrakech, but one of the most difficult journeys we’ve had was this month for a private party in Cheshire. Why? I’ll let the video below fill you in on the adventure. However we did get there with some local help, had a great gig with an audience dressed in some fantastically outrageous 80s costumes, and eventually got home a little later than expected.
The band has been getting ready to exhibit at Confex2012 under their alternate alias of MADHEN. We’ve been producing new brochures, t-shirts, live CDs and videos in between travelling across the UK and battling with some serious late night weather that wasn’t designed for fully loaded vans. The new MADHEN promotional material looks and sounds great including a cool medley of Kim Wilde’s “Kids In America” and Aha’s “Take On Me” recorded live at Old Billingsgate when we performed there for The Ultimate Experience. CONFEX is going to be a fun show. We’ll be playing twice a day on the main stage at the central feature where MADHEN PRODUCTIONS are supplying and running the stage for over 20 acts a day. If you’re near ExCel in London on the 6th, 7th or 8th of March pop in and say hi! You’ll be able to find us at stand P330 and if we’re not there we’ll be on the stage.
